Drink tap water! Water fountains at the USz
As part of the third edition of the “Drink Tap Water” programme, modern, aesthetic, and comfortable drinking fountains are available at our University. This initiative, implemented by the Water and Sewage Plant (ZWiK) in Szczecin with funding from the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Szczecin, aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and eco-friendly habits in our community.
90% of the water supplied to the drinking fountains comes from Lake Miedwie and undergoes a rigorous, multi-stage treatment process. The water quality in each fountain is systematically monitored and regularly tested by the accredited ZWiK Central Laboratory, ensuring its safety and the highest parameters.
Locations of the drinking fountains at the University of Szczecin:
• Sports Hall, ul. Piastów 40b, Building 7, near the restrooms,
• Faculty of Law and Administration, ul. Narutowicza 17a, near restroom no. 9,
• Faculty of Social Sciences, Krakowska 69, near room 181 on the first floor,
• Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management, Building A, Cukrowa 8, near restroom no. 009,
• SIL Building, Cukrowa 8, near the student kitchen,
• Faculty of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences, Wielkopolska 15, near room 113 on the first floor,
• Faculty of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences, Mickiewicza 16a, near restroom no. 2,
• Faculty of Social Sciences, Ogińskiego 16/17, near restroom no. 15,
• Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management, Mickiewicza 64, on the ground floor, near the women’s restroom.
We encourage you to use available water points and bring your own reusable containers (water bottles, glass bottles), which directly contributes to waste reduction on campuses.
