University of Szczecin in solidarity with Ukraine
On behalf of the entire academic community of the University of Szczecin, we would like to express our depest concern over the recent invasion on Ukraine. The bond between Poland and Ukraine has been strenghtened over past years thanks to many Ukrainians who live in Poland and are valued members of our society.
Many students and researchers of the University of Szczecin are citizens of Ukraine. That is why it is for us not only a political but also personal shock to watch Ukraine being under attack.
We stand in solidarity with all Ukrainian people and in unity with you as our valued academic partners. We’re committed to cooperation with Ukrainian universities and we can reassure you that University of Szczecin will join initiatives that support academic institutions, their students and staff in the future.
The people of Szczecin stand behind Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence, and Poland is ready support those who wish to seek refuge.
We hope that this tragic situation will end soon and until then you all stay in our thoughts.
