Traineeships are not possible in the International Relations Department.

Incoming student mobility for traineeship (SMT) at the US faculties

  1. General information:
    • Traineeships does not require a valid inter-institutional agreement between the home HEI and the relevant faculty/institute of the University of Szczecin (US).
    • The US does not provide the incoming trainees with:
      • any scholarship for their stay,
      • accommodation to the trainees – they can apply for a place directly in the student residence halls,
      • any insurance,
      • any remuneration.
  1. Application procedure:
    • The application should be submitted via DreamApply system (DA) for the proper type of mobility (SMT).
    • The application (including all the required application documents) should be submitted at least 1 month before the desired start date of traineeship.
    • Required documents to be uploaded into the DA application:
      • Learning Agreement for Traineeship (LA) – either the US template or trainee’s home university’s one, detailing the dates of traineeship, activities to be carried out, monitoring and evaluation plan, number of awarded ECTS (if any),
      • scan of a valid passport or identity card,
      • scan of English/other required language proficiency confirmation:
        – a certificate confirming language competence at minimum B1 level (according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) issued by an accredited body
        OR
        – a confirmation of placement test results at minimum B1 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) issued by the relevant unit at the sending HEI
        OR
        – the results of the Online Linguistic Support test at minimum B1 level (print screen).
    • The relevant International Exchange Coordinator, within 10 working days, reviews the LA and contacts the applicant to agree the final draft. Then, the final LA signed by the applicant and their home university should be uploaded into the DA application.
    • In case of lack of available traineeship positions in the proposed timeline or LA programme not compatible with the chosen faculty, the relevant coordinator rejects the application.
    • The application is accepted once the relevant coordinator approves the uploaded LA.
    • The applicant is informed by the IRD about the acceptance/rejection of their application.
  1. At least one week before arrival, the accepted trainee should submit a scan of a European health insurance card (EHIC, for European citizens) or any private health insurance, valid for the entire period of planned mobility and on the territory of Poland.
  2. The obligation to complete the procedures necessary for obtaining a visa and insurance lies with the incoming trainee. Upon request, the relevant coordinator provides all the documents necessary for the visa procedure (e.g. the invitation letter).
  3. After the mobility:
    • the relevant coordinator issues and signs a certificate of attendance to the incoming trainee,
    • the relevant coordinator uploads the scanned/electronically signed document to the DA within 5 working days from the end date of the traineeship,
    • the IRD sends the certificate to the trainee.
