    International Students’ Day

The University of Szczecin is excited to announce International Students’ Day on November 20, 2024! This special day will feature a variety of activities and contests for our diverse student community. As part of the celebration, we invite you to join us for the Cultural Festival, where students from around the world can share their traditions and cultures.
Join us for an enriching experience of intercultural dialogue, where you can exchange stories, share traditions, and savour a variety of dishes from around the world—all lovingly prepared by international students from across the University.

    How to participate?
Submit your idea on how to showcase your culture—or any culture you’re passionate about—in a fun and creative way. Share your knowledge of customs, sing a song of your people, wear traditional attire, or come up with any heartfelt way to express what the culture means to you. The more unique, the better! And of course, bring some food so we can taste dishes from all over the world! To help you prepare, each group of students will receive a budget to cover materials and ingredients for the event.
We’ll vote on the most exciting showcases, and the winners will receive prizes!

Let us celebrate the diversity of our community, learn about other cultures and taste delicious food from around the world.
Let’s enjoy sharing and spending time together!
Our Festival will be a delightful journey judged in three distinct categories:
Appeal: We’re looking for that special spark! Judges will observe how engaged and active our Festival participants are in their interactions with the audience. It’s all about creating an inviting and engaging atmosphere.
Creativity: Unleash your creativity and take us on a cultural adventure! Just remember, while we embrace diversity, we kindly ask you to keep it respectful and free from hate speech, vulgarisms, or anything inappropriate. Express your culture in a fascinating and captivating way.
Taste: As cuisine is at the heart of our cultural festival, the taste of your dishes and drinks will be judged based on individual preferences. Taste, much like beauty, lies in the eye of the beholder, but let’s collectively agree not to bring dishes reminiscent of crusty old supermarket leftovers or the charred remains of a forgotten barbecue.
